Ellen was a dear friend and early supporter of The Dolphin Study. Her support – moral, intellectual and financial – was essential in moving the project from a dream to reality. Even after illness prevented her from joining us on surveys to see the dolphins she was a passionate ambassador for the project. Those who had the honor of knowing Ellen recognize her as one of those who build, nurture and support communities and the dreams of the individuals in these many communities. Her life is a testament to her belief in the imperative to leave the world a better more just place. Her spirit will always reside at The Dolphin Study.
